RAMADAN

RAMADAN!
During the entire month of Ramadan, Muslims are obligated to fast every day from dawn to sunset (or from dawn to night according to some scholars). Fasting requires the abstinence from sex, food and drink.

Fasting the month of Ramadān was made obligatory (wājib) during the month of Sha‘bān, in the second year after Hijrah.
Fasting the month of Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

According to the Islamic calendar, Ramadan is the most important festive month for Muslim people across the globe. It is considered the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and occurs at the end of the Shaban month.

This year Ramadan starts on April 2, 2022, with the fast-starting from April 3, 2022.

The time of fasting depends on the sighting of the crescent moon, which involves fasting, prayer, reflection, reading quran, giving back in the form of charity, and engaging in humanitarian activities.

On this occasion, people all over the world perform a fast with their family and friends. The festival continues from 29-30 days and ends with Eid-ul-Fitr. The word Ramadan comes from the Arabic word 'ar-ramad' which means 'scorching heat'.
It is considered that this time angel Gabriel revealed the words of the Quran to Nabiyu Muhammad SAW.

The fast is done as the most priority for the spiritual purification of an individual.

May Allah bless you and your loved ones with all pleasure and prosperity in life. May your existence be blessed with peace & harmony. I wish you a blessed Ramadan.
