CHIPS program is a child of neccessity born out to revolutionalize the health sector in Niger State. It aimed to bridge & 6existing gaps that will change the current narratives towards improvement of health care service delivery in the State. Aisha Garba paiko, who is the CHIPS Coordinator, said  these two days meeting organized by NSPHCDA with the support of Malaria Consortium is necessary and timely because, it will help policy makers to ascertain the effectiveness of the CHIPS program in the state. The Niger State ministry of health partners and programs officers forum is an avenue that brings together the management staff of Niger state ministry of health, Directors, heads of Agencies under ministry of health, program officers, partners and civil society organization (CSOs) working in health sector of Niger state. This year's forum meeting took place on Thursday 18th February, 2021 at Haske Luxary Hotel Minna. The forum's meeting was well attended by all the major stakeholders contributing to the development of health sector and service delivery in Niger State. The revolution and unprecedented successes that is ongoing in health sector of Niger State can not be over emphasized. Today the 15th February 2021 witnessed another milestone event as Hajiya Dr. Amina Sani Bello, the wife of the executive governor of Niger State flag off the second round of 2020 MATERNAL NEWBORN AND CHILD HEALTH WEEK at Barikin Sale PPFN PHC facility.  The first lady stated that the objectives of the related outcomes of the maternal new born and child health week are relevant and consistent with the priorities of Nigeria. She encouraged women that have a child or children between the ages of zero and five (0-5) years to come out to immunize their babies and access the essential services provided for them. The executive governor of Niger State is arguably one of the best performing governor in primary health care development in Nigeria. The evidence for this claim is not farfetched from the ongoing commissioning and handover of PHC facilities across the entire state. No wonder, partners found Niger State attractive due to the vigor and commitment shown by the state governor, Hon. Commissioner of health, executive director of NSPHCDA and other key players in health sector of Niger State.
