ETSU NUPE FLAG OFF COVID19 VACCINATION IN BIDA.
The representative of the Executive Secretary, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Dr. Rufai
commended the readiness and commitments of the Etsu Nupe towards fight against spread of COVID19. He appreciated the Emir for receiving his team to flag off the vaccination today despite short notice of less than 24 hours. He then, tendered an apology on behalf the Executive Director of NSPHCDA
for his inability to witness the flagg off due to other national assignments. Finally, he conveyed the Goodwill message of the Executive Director of NPHCDA to Etsu Nupe where he said the Emir's open door policy, simplicity, generoucity and exemplary leadership the Emir is displaying can not be over emphasized.
The Etsu Nupe welcomed the medical team and appreciated Dr. Rufai for leading the team to his palace.
In his remark, the Etsu Nupe admonished his subject to believe that Allah in His wisdom will always test His servants with hunger, diseases, calamities, poverty etc. Also, that people should believe that Allah who created diseases has also, provided cure for every disease. Therefore, he want everyone to believe that COVID-19 is real, deadly and from Allah.
In the same light, he want everyone to believe that it is Allah whom out of His mercy gave us AstraZeneca Oxford COVID-19 vaccine as a cure to prevent and eliminate COVID-19 in our society.
Therefore, he encouraged everybody to accept and believe that the vaccine will serve as a preventive measure against COVID-19 and Allah will make it so. He dismissed all the rumors and fears that some people are spreading around the COVID-19 vaccine which, he said the vaccine is safe and made to prevent and kick out COVID19 pandemic in our society and by the grace of Allah, it shall be so.
Thereafter his remark, the Emir offered himself and took the vaccination as a show of leadership by example.
The council chairman of Bida LGA Honourable Suleiman Sheshi (Maina Nupe) became the second person that took the vaccination after the Etsu Nupe.
Immediately after the council chairman took the vaccination, he remarked that the vaccine is safe, free and good for everyone. Also, he encouraged everybody to register online in order, to book for their vaccination while, the limited stock last.
Earlier, before the Etsu Nupe remarks, the Rubwati Nupe Alhaji Dyadya committed the flag off event into the Hands of Allah and prayed that Allah should keep us safe and eliminate COVID19 out of the world completely.
The Director primary health care Bida local government Hajiya Amina gave the closing remarks by thanking the Etsu Nupe for being a father to all for his support. She then, thanked both the National and state Medical team that came to support them in flagging off the vaccination. She thanked the honourable council chairman and his council members, the Etsu Nupe council members, members of the press and the entire people that were present at the event. Finally, she prayed that Allah should take everyone back to their destinations safely.
The Etsu Nupe bid the medical team farewell with a gift of cola as a show of his appreciation for bringing the AstraZeneca Oxford COVID-19 vaccine to his domain.
